Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) ist eine Nachdiplomausbildung der Hochschulen und entspricht mindestens 10 ECTS-Punkten.

This CAS offers professionals a unique opportunity to learn about scientifically founded concepts on development, to apply tools for result-based management, to reflect on own experiences, and to share best-practice and discuss future practice with colleagues.

Participants can assemble their program from over 20 courses to become more accomplished in their daily work and advance their careers. At least 6 courses must be completed.
Topics:

  • Courses on project management
  • Courses on sustainable development

With the exception of two compulsory courses, students can tailor their program of study according to their individual interests and needs:

  • Planning and Monitoring of Projects
  • Contemporary Development Debate

A balanced mix of courses on project management and sustainable development is required.

1 ECTS-Kreditpunkt entspricht einem Aufwand von 25-30 Arbeitsstunden.

Admission

Conditions d’admission

  • A Master’s degree (or equivalent) acknowledged by ETH Zurich (In exceptional cases, applicants without a Master’s degree may be admitted if proof of special qualifications is provided)
  • 24 months of professional experience in international cooperation or a related field, including sustainable development, development cooperation, corporate social responsibility or migration (a minimum of six months of work experience is acceptable if a written recommendation from the applicant’s current employer is attached)
  • English C1

Professionals in the field of international cooperation or a related field, including sustainable development, development cooperation, corporate social responsibility or migration.

Coûts

min. CHF 5'480.-

Applicants holding a degree from a Swiss university pay 50 CHF, applicants holding a degree from another university pay 150 CHF. In addition, there is a one-time ETH tuition fee of 730 CHF
