Certificate of Advanced Studies ist eine Nachdiplomausbildung der Hochschulen und entspricht mindestens 10 ECTS (Kreditpunkte).

The programme in translational nephrology was developed in the context of the Swiss National Centre of Competence in Research (NCCR) Kidney Control of Homeostasis (Kidney.CH) supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation. The NCCR Kidney.CH is a research network of leading specialists in experimental and clinical nephrology from all Swiss Universities teaching medicine and corresponding University Hospitals.

Objectives

The programme will provide relevant insights into the basics of nephrology by studying the physiological and pathophysiological bases of kidney function in health and disease.

Plan de la formation

The programme contains 6 E-learning modules with face-to-face sessions, performance audits and exams at the end of each module:

  • Module 1: Salt, Water and Hypertension
  • Module 2: Acid-base Homeostasis
  • Module 3: Calcium and Phosphate
  • Module 4: Oxygen Signaling and Cancer
  • Module 5: Metabolism and Kidney Function
  • Module 6: Inflammation and Immunology

15 ECTS

Admission

Conditions d’admission

A master degree or equivalent in medicine or life sciences is required.

Target audience

Graduates in medicine or life sciences interested in strengthening their knowledge and understanding in renal pathophysiology and research.

Coûts

CHF 5'400.-
Reduced fee for academics and physicians: CHF 3'000.-
