Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) ist eine Nachdiplomausbildung der Hochschulen und entspricht mindestens 10 ECTS-Punkten.

The course provides theoretical knowledge of and practical skills in forensic imaging, notably surface scanning and 3D-photogrammetry, post-mortem CT and MR, post-mortem angiography, robot-guided biopsy, and clinical forensic imaging.

Modules:

  • Facultative Pre-Course (Virtopsy Machine Learning / Virtopsy Visualisation)
  • Module 1: Virtopsy Basic Course
  • Module 2: Virtopsy Advanced Course
  • Module 3: Practical Course
  • Facultative Post-Course (Virtopsy Academic Course)

The program combines academic teaching and research with clinical practice, while also promoting methodological skill.

Presence seminars: 10 days presence seminars

1 ECTS-Punkt entspricht einem Aufwand von 25-30 Arbeitsstunden. 

Admission

Conditions d’admission

  • University master degree in medicine
  • Specialist in forensic medicine or radiology

In exceptional cases, persons with a Bachelor’s degree in a medical field from an accredited university and several years of work experience in radiology, or persons with an equivalent qualification may be admitted to the program.

Coûts

CHF 10'500-, for all compulsory modules (1–3), which includes Virtopsy Basic and Advanced Course. Not included are travelling costs, food and housing. Visit of individual modules is possible, incrementally.
Visualisation Pre-Course: + CHF 450.- for registrants of module 1 and CHF 650.- as standalone module
