Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) ist eine Nachdiplomausbildung der Hochschulen und entspricht mindestens 10 ECTS-Punkten. Dieses CAS verlangt 12 ECTS-Punkte.

The programme is for managers who do not have an engineering background, but nevertheless need to work effectively with engineering and technical managers related to electronics-??based hardware products such as those found at the edge of IoT networks or operating as autonomous devices. Participants will learn about the most important processes and technologies related to electronics and how they are being applied in practice.

• Fundamentals of Semiconductors and Electronics
• Semiconductor Devices and Applications
• Integrated Circuits
• Complex Electronic Systems

Participants complete 4 modules over 14 weeks from April to July. Classes are generally conducted in either a block format or blended learning format to minimize time away from work. Classes are held at ETH Zentrum campus every other week for one full day and one half day (typically Friday all day and Saturday morning), and the programme is thus well suited as a part-time study programme.

Total workload is approximately 300 hours (~21 hours/week) and successful graduates earn a total of 12 ECTS credits.
