Description de la formation
Le Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) est une formation postgrade donnée par les hautes écoles et elle équivaut à au moins 10 crédits ECTS.
Structure and topics covered
Around 450 hours of individual work, including:
- E-learning (courses: E-learning modules, videos, documents, educational games, forum discussions, individual and collective work, research, exercises, reflective analysis)
- Face to face sessions (lectures, case studies, individual and collective work)
- Personal work with coaching (reflective analysis, writing and implementation of an individual plan of action, individual and bilateral work)
Phase 1 "Initialization process" (2 weeks at distance)
Phase 2 "Foundation: Myself in this training + basic concepts" (1 week at distance)
Phase 3 "Institutional strategic framework (2 weeks at distance)
Phase 4 "Operational strategic framework: Project Cycle Management and related operational stakes" (4 weeks at distance)
Phase 5 “Decentralized residential session preparing/sharing/strengthening” (4 weeks at distance and residential in Uganda)
Phase 6a "Deepening my learning and preparing for my PoA implementation" (3 weeks at distance with Coaching)
Phase 6b "Deepening my knowledge with elective courses + implementation of my PoA in my current working context" (I) (12 weeks at distance with Coaching)
Phase 6c "Implementation of my plan of action in my current working context " (II) (4 additional weeks at distance with Coaching
Phase 7 "Closing: recap / evaluation / final feedback" (2 weeks at distance)
Objectives
- At the end of the course, participants will be able to design and adapt humanitarian strategies and projects in line with the specificities of each context.
- They will provide coherent flexible and creative humanitarian responses taking into account ethical issues, context prerogatives and the organization's mandate.
Admission
Conditions d’admission
- Either a university qualification following three years of study plus at least two years of work experience in the humanitarian, social or development field;
- And English mother tongue or proof of level of competence through a TOEIC/TOEFL/IELTS certificate or other proof of English language competency.
Groupe cible
CERAH Master student in humanitarian action, humanitarian programme / project manager, support manager willing to join the humanitarain sector.
